Resolved nerve problems

Per the instructions I kept the setting on the Curatron unit on zero for 10 days as my case is a chronic condition. At zero I treated myself twice a day. Then after 10 days, as I had no detox symptoms, I chose to start raising the program level once each day until I reached "3" and have stayed there for a few days now.

I have noticed healing in my foot in which I had two troublesome nerves that I had given up on. One nerve made a small part of one toe feel numb, the other was sensitive to touch and would feel like an electric "zing" if touched.

Both of those nerve problems now seem resolved and I am very pleased about that and with how they improved!

The unit definitely does make me thirsty (so I drink water before and after) and seems to prompt urination but I have not felt any detox problems.

Fracture healing with Curatron

I hope all is well with you and yours. I continue to use the Curatron and have been able to heal 3 individuals of their fractured bones. All three had been recommended for surgical intervention of some kind. All three were able to avoid that outcome through the use of your device and there have been many celebrations in their not having to go under the knife!

My wife says that she definitely has become better in her shoulders. She could not squeeze her hands together in front of her. The strength was gone and pain not good.

I am very happy with my Curatron system, I like the long treatment mat which makes it easy to treat the whole body whilst reading a book or watching TV.

I have let friends use my system, I took it with me when I went to visit in the hope they would buy their own because they are in desperate in need! I do not understand why they are hesitating when they know they can be pain free with half an hour a day relaxing.

Hi there Ben,

Both my wife and myself suffer from back complaints so we wanted to try the Curatron, after a friend (who has the more professional unit) and our own research suggested that it would certainly be worth investing in, hopefully for both short term and long term benefits.

I am pleased to report that it has certainly achieved both and my wife Maureen who has a degenerative problem in her lower spine, uses it every day and is convinced that the combination of the Curatron therapy and a physio recommended exercise regime has seen a vast improvement in her strength and flexibility. Although she still gets occasional pain, it is no where near as debilitating and seems to be lessening as time goes on. She prefers the full mattress for her treatments.

As for myself, my problem stems from changing from many years of hard physical work to lots of sitting at a desk. I do get some reasonably serious twinges in the lower and upper back but when it occurs, I use the small pad on the localized area and certainly notice an improvement over several sessions. I also use it for both relaxation when required or energising if feeling a little frayed round the edges.

I guess I am saying - yep we like the Curatron buzz box - it certainly works for us!

Avascular necrosis (AVN) and Curatron

Avascular necrosis of the femoral head is a pathologic process that results from interruption of blood supply to the bone. As result the bone dies and looses all strengths and ultimately cannot support the skeleton anymore.

A couple of months ago we were contacted by a pharmacist who suffered from severe femoral avascular necrosis at both sides as result of diabetis. He was in constant pain and had great difficulty walking and could hardly function anymore.

His MRI clearly showed major problems and no doubt that in a short while he would end up in a wheelchair. Hip replacements would have been very problematic because both femurs were already in such a poor shape that it would be doubtful if it could be done at all.

He decided to purchase a PEMF Curatron 2000 XP model complete with high energy coil and treat himself daily for half an hour.

After 4 months he had a second MRI which clearly showed a substantial improvement of bone density in the affected areas.

These results can only be achieved with the Curatron because it has sufficient pulsed electromagnetic field intensity to penetrate the bones deep inside the body completely and redevelop blood supply to the affected bones, resulting in impressive increase in bone density within just a couple of months!

According to thesaurus.com the definition of a yahoo is a stupid, ignorant person and only now I understand why Yahoo! is written with an exclamation mark!

Today we received a refund check for our Curatron PEMF therapy devices advertising campaign from Yahoo! because of their merger with Microsoft advertising. The check was mailed from the USA in an envelope with a $0.98 stamp on it.

So far so good, and we had a real good laugh after opening of the envelope because we found the following check enclosed:

Osteonecrosis of the jaw - ONJ

I wanted to let you know how much relief the mat has provided me regarding the osteonecrosis of my jaw. I no longer have pain and my mouth has healed. I know that the electromagnetic pulsing the mat provides has helped in this situation.

There are so many others who have been diagnosed with this horrific condition.......caused by the greedy drug companies releasing drugs that are unfit for human consumption......as well as the medical system that refuses to accept responsibility to look outside their paradigm and see that there are better ways for the body to heal than using drugs.

I am still looking for a way to remove the drugs from my bones to stop the necrosis process.........but feel that as long as I have the mat, I will be fine!

Amazing things DO happen!

Sometimes I am being asked: "What is the life expectancy for the Curatron devices?" which reminded me to share with you the following recent true story.

Indeed, amazing things DO happen: A while ago I received an email from Belgium asking if we are the same Curatronic company as the one by the same name in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, which had closed down many years ago after I moved to Israel.

What was more natural for me, when starting my new company in Israel, than to use the same name? So that's what I did...and lo and behold.

A beauty clinic in Belgium had purchased a Helium-Neon laser device for wrinkle treatment, more than 30 years ago from my company in Amsterdam.

The laser system I had developed somewhere around 1979 (the first laser in the world for wrinkle treatment) had given up after 30 years and they did not want to replace it for some other product because of the excellent results!

After many emails between me and a technician in Belgium I was able to conclude that the high voltage transformer -powering the laser tube- was defect. This technician was now able to have a new transformer made locally according to the specifications I gave to him and YES the device started working again!

Here is a picture they emailed to me of a treatment they did last week and you can clearly see in the background the after 30 years repaired LaserMed device being used again!

Study results for treatment of 150 patients with the Curatron were presented during the 14th World Society of Pain Clinicians Congress, October 2010, at the Beijing Congress Center, by Dr. Ashfakh Ahmed*

Objectives

To prove that knee replacement surgery is not the only option but only the last option
To discourage use of excessive pain killer medications to avoid long term complications

Summary

In India the vast majority of patients seek medical help at a very late stage, when major damage has been done and became irreversible. First patients consult their family physicians and are on painkillers for a long time. Even in these cases this 150 patients Curatron study shows that very good results are obtained.

Quote Dr. Ahmed: “Before I started using Curatron, I was treating with other modalities, without much success. The patients used to improve only temporarily and return back after sometime and the only solution was knee replacement. Only after the use of Curatron, the results have been great and long term and I have no doubt that Curatron has made all the difference”.

I have had my first session. It definitely had an effect that was good, but hard to describe! I felt relaxed and drowsy, like all my systems were kind of stunned, asking, so what was THAT ? I look forward to continuing.

Since I started using the Curatron about five years ago I have undergone a quadruple bypass for blocked coronary arteries and have recently severely injured my hip playing tennis. I am interested in using it for post operative pain relief as described in the June issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. And it would be helpful if I could contact a professional who uses the device for post operative pain, particularly after plastic surgery. Do you have anyone I could contact in the USA?

Our company directed him to a plastic surgery clinic in the USA using several Curatron devices. The medical director of this clinic sent the following email to Dr. F.

Dear Dr. F,

Thank you for forwarding the article to me. I now recall that our representative from Allergan, from whom we purchase our breast implants, gave me a sample of the described device to evaluate. It was very cheaply made and I was not impressed enough to even try it. It was immediately defective and could not be properly switched on and off.

Regarding the results presented in the paper, I am at a loss to explain how a device which generates a thousand fold less energy than the earth's magnetic field could do anything beneficial at all. The energy is so low that it cannot be measured by commonly available testing equipment.
To say the least, I am highly skeptical of the entire study. As was pointed out, the level of pain experienced by patients after breast reduction is not great. They also referenced many prior studies using pulsed electromagnetic energy for bone healing and other conditions. The amount of energy used in those studies was vastly greater than what this device generates.
I believe that many more studies of this device, in patients with many different levels of pain, would need to be done in order to validate these results. As you well know, a single study is simply not enough to warrant a change in patient treatment. It would be important for other groups to reproduce the same results. It may also be significant that the manufacturer of the device was involved in the study.

What I can endorse, however, is the Curatronic device, as I have personally used it now for some years to treat my serious degenerative disc disease, as well as tendinitis and other conditions. I use it daily, even when I travel, and I credit this device with allowing me to remain mobile without having surgery. I attribute the beneficial effects of this device to reduction of inflammation, which seems to be at the center of virtually all human chronic pain conditions.

This device is no toy, but rather a serious and impressive medical electronic device which puts out enough energy that it can be readily measured by anyone with just a simple magnet, which vibrates strongly within the magnetic field that is generated.

I would highly recommend the Curatronic device to treat a whole litany of conditions with an inflammatory component. Specifically, the professional unit that is controlled by a computer that would be connected to it, puts out far more energy and is much more effective than the "home" unit which generates much less energy.

The Curatron machine is just wonderful and amazing!

As therapist I always try new products on myself to ascertain how it works before using it on my patients.

The back problem I have had for 7 years has been cured with 5 daily sessions of using the machine. I have had on and off pain in my right sacro-iliac joint for seven years, which has been more or less constant in the past year and becomes worse with prolonged walking. I did everything I know to do as a physiotherapist and do get pain relief, but not complete elimination of the pain.

I used the Curatron 2000PC every night before going to sleep for 5 days and the pain is completely gone!

For the first time in about 2 years I was able to remain on my feet for 2 hours without needing to sit down in between and take a rest because of the pain in my back.

This is now my second week of completely pain free and not needing to take any analgesic for pain!

I am having great success with my Curatron device. I bought the device because I had a painful shoulder and neck problem and now this is virtually cured and the 3/4" hardened lump by the shoulder joint is half the size and reducing quickly! Previous treatments have not been able to help.

One of my dogs snapped a stabilising muscle in half and the other muscles have to work overtime to compensate in her shoulder. This happened 2 years ago. She loves to lie on the PEMF pad and she gets up sound!

Yes: Curatron improves bone density!

We just received a copy of a bone density scan from one of the many Curatron users for improving on bone density. This is another clear proof that daily treatment with the Curatron device makes bones stronger and decreases fracture risk!

J.N. a trim, active 87 year old female was diagnosed at Viera Diagnostic Center with a modern Lunar bone densitometer. According to the classification of the World Health Organization a T-score of lower than -2.5 shows that a person suffers from osteoporosis.

In January 2008 the measured Bone Mass Density of J.N in her Spine was 0.785 g/sq.cm corresponding with a T-score of -3.3 showing that she suffered from severe osteoporosis.

Medio 2008 she purchased a Curatron 2000XP device with full body mat and treated herself on a daily basis.

In December 2009 [18 months after starting using the Curatron] she was diagnosed again at the same center, however this time she showed a huge improvement in the measured values with a Bone Mass Density of 0.854 g/sq.cm corresponding with a T-score of -2.7 reflecting an improvement of 8.8% vs. her previous measured values! And this all within only 18 months!

In November 2008 my wife was informed that a knee replacement was inevitable as the cartilage in her right knee was thinning due to weight. Screening was done to show the joints and she was instructed to stop walking so as not to aggravate the situation.

In July 2009 we purchased the Curatron 2000XP and used the pad on program number 3 for four months.

An X-ray was made and now it was found that the knees in the standing position had equal cartilage and there were no signs of any problems anymore and no knee replacement operation was required anymore!

I myself have undergone 4 times PCNL (a procedure to get large calcium oxalate kidney stones out under anesthesia) every two years. The stone would not dissolve or come out on its own.
BUT after buying the Curatron 2000XP, this time the stone, a size smaller than a peanut, passed through as if nothing happened. This is definitely the result of PEMFT Curatron 2000XP setting to program number 9 for four months on a regular basis, 4 to 5 times a week.

I have been using the Curatron mattress and high energy coil on my right knee now for 3 days and the results are unbelievable, I can walk without pain in that knee and I can actually see bones in my leg (all the swelling has gone down).

The surgeon told me I had to have a knee replacement, but if this treatment keeps up like this I can say goodbye to surgery!

My own health status has been dreadful over the space of 12 years because of a serious poisening and I have worked and studied in complementary and alternative medicine to help improve this. Main stream medicine and drugs regimes have not provided answers, nor given me confidence.

My wife, and especially me, as well as a few friends are using the Curatron regularly.

My personal experience (I am 64 years old) is: I use it mainly on program 9 and with the therapy pad and the high energy coil for 30 minutes and I find that it relaxes muscles, especially across the shoulders after a day in front of the computer, lower back as well as legs.

I also use it on my face -both cheek areas and found that bad sun damage (developing skin cancers) is disappearing. It does also wonders for the libido.

In short Curatron tones and rejuvenates the whole body, including internal organs on a cellular level with continued use, and the process is enhanced by adding some oxygen (Johannesburg altitude is 1700 m) does wonders.

Dr. Ashfahk Ahmed from Bangalore was so kind to send me today another report of very successful therapy for a 60 year old female from Hyderabad in India. She was suffering from severe osteoarthritris of both knees making her life very difficult and after a series of Curatron treatments the X-ray results and video testimonial can be seen here.

This X-ray was taken before treatments started and shows that lots of cartilage at several different locations in both knees of this patients' knees had almost completely disappeared.

This X-ray, taken 4 months after a series of treatments, clearly show very successful regeneration of new cartilage and this patient was able to walk again normally.

Osteoarthritis therapy with Curatron

Dr. Ashfahk Ahmed, orthopedic surgeon from Bangalore in India was so kind to email me the X-rays and video clip of a 65 year old female suffering from Tricompartmental Degenerative Osteoarthritis of both knees.

Here is the X-ray before treatments. The cartilage between the bones have disappeared almost completely in several locations. As result this lady was hardly able to walk and sleep during the night because of excruciating pain.

Some customers go all the way to make sure they buy a device that will work for them.

Take the following example of a lady in the UK who wanted to make sure that not only our company is for real (quote: "You never know these days with internet scams using nice websites") so this lady simply asked for references.

After emailing her a shortlist of 10 randomly chosen people who purchased a Curatron device in the UK lately she did actually phone them!

The very next day I received a very positive email from her: "Everyone who was using the Curatron 2000XP at home that I spoke to made the point that the device is very easy to use if you suffer from one of the ailments specified". All the users she spoke to expressed their satisfaction with the results obtained with the device but she still was not completely convinced so she asked me the following question:

Regarding the matter of an undiagnosed cancer or some other undiagnosed growth which falls within the area being treated - would not the increased blood flow etc encourage it to grow at a faster rate? E.g. breast cancer? Is there a risk involved? I know that PEMF have been studied to help with cancer but is the Curatron 2000XP proven to be totally safe for home treatment?

We do not promote the device for cancer treatment in order to avoid legal issues and not to be 'thrown in the same corner' as some shady companies who take advantage of desparate patients. However our equipment is indeed used by various clinics for cancer treatment by the way of increasing temperature in situ with the highest possible energy setting on the PC system with a power booster and very high energy coil.

Increased blood flow does neither stimulate cancer nor causes it. Lots of confusion is going on in this respect:

PEMF is low frequency pulsing energy ranging from 1 Hz to 50 Hz (not to be confused with 50/60 Hz magnetic radiation around mains power lines and transformers, which induce a continuous magnetic field with completely different electromagnetic fields for which EMF warnings are correct.
Short wave with a frequency of 27 MHz (27.000.000 Hz) is used in physiotherapy for internal body warming.
High frequencies like cell phones with frequencies higher than 800 MHz (800.000.000 Hz) and it is an open question if they may cause cancer, which discussions will definitely still take decades and so far there is no proof that this indeed the case.
Microwaves (like in your kitchen) use 2.45 GHz (2.450.000.000 Hz) and are dangerous only if applied directly to the eyes and testis as blood flow in these organs are limited and thus can not 'cool off' the heating effect. This is the reason why the microwave stops when the door is opened in the middle to avoid danger. The heating of food occurs due to friction of the agitated molecules.

Conclusion: The Curatron systems are completely safe!

Fractured scaphoid bone

I am treating a person for a fractured scapoid bone which would not heal. What is of particular interest in this case is the fact that the patient was a competitive bike rider and he asked his specialist why so many sports people have the same recurring injuries to be told that they do not heal. PEMFT Frequency issues

One of the most crucial parameters for pulsed electromagnetic field therapy devices is the applied frequency range of the magnetic energy pulses.

As the name pulsed electromagnetic field therapy already indicates, magnetic energy is transferred into the body by means of pulsing the energy with a specific repetition rate called frequency. Frequency is expressed as how many pulses per second are generated by the device.

Frequency is expressed in Hertz (Hz) named after the physicist Heinrich Hertz.

For example, 1 Hz means 1 pulse per second; 2 Hz means 2 pulses per second, etc.

This picture clearly shows the differences between various frequencies: the more waves you see during the same time window, the higher the frequency is.

The frequency of the lowest purple wave is 4 times higher than the frequency of the highest redwave.

It is still unclear which exact frequencies relate to specific diseases, body functions, cells, and bones. Some mavens suggest that frequencies in the range of 1-15 Hz are more important, while others prefer frequencies in the 10-50 Hz range. In order to make sure that a PEMF device is maximum effective a pulsed frequency range of 1-50 Hz should be available.

It is important to understand that each individual person responds somewhat differently to the same pulsing frequencies. Thus stating that specific frequencies correspond with specific diseases or body energizing is a mistake often made.

If we want to make sure that PEMFT will be optimally effective, we have to apply various different frequencies during the same therapy session.

For the best results frequency changes have to be made a few times during the same therapy session and should be performed automatic.

PEMFT intensity information

I do get lately many emails asking me about intensity of pulsed magnetic field therapy devices. This probably happens since some "competitors" are so scared by our ongoing success that they have started publishing various nonsense articles and comparison tables, which contain false and incorrect information.

Intensity of pulsing magnetic fields, generated by PEMFT devices, is one of the most crucial specifications in order to obtain successful results.

Since intensity is very relevant for pulsed electromagnetic field therapy devices, and scientific way for use of these symbols is mT for milli Tesla and μT for micro Tesla.

PEMF therapy can only be effective if the field strength of the pulsing electromagnetic signal is sufficiently powerful to penetrate deep enough inside the cells and bones to cause the desired effect. In order for this to happen the applied energy levels must be sufficiently high, otherwise only a minimal and superficial effect will occur.

The only way to prove if the field indeed completely penetrates the body is to check if it is still possible to detect a pulsing magnetic field at the opposite side of the body. E.g. if the field is applied at the back it must be possible to show its existence still at the chest, otherwise it can never penetrate deep enough into the body!

The human body is unable to feel the magnetic pulses themselves but only the effects they cause. You can, however, easily detect a sufficiently strong pulsed magnetic field by holding a static magnet in your hand above the applicator containing the coils. You can now clearly feel the pulses in your hand with exactly the same pulse repetition rate (frequency) generated by the device. This effect happens because the pulsing magnetic fields distort the static magnetic field of the magnet, resulting in the pulsing movements you can now easily feel in your hand.

Various PEMFT devices on the market are only able to generate magnetic fields that they require very sensitive electronic magnetic field detectors in order to show that some magnetic field is actually generated at all, for this field cannot be detected otherwise. These magnetic field strengths are unable to penetrate into the body more than an inch!

For the models controlled by our PC software the users can define the intensities for the field strengths themselves, even down into the micro Tesla range, in the rare case that they may want to use it exclusively for very superficial therapy purposes.

PEMF wave forms

Today I received an email from Chris Cane -one of our distributors in the USA- who saw a blog posting by Dr. Carmichael, who sells a "competitive" device, claiming that sawtooth and square wave wave forms are superior to sine waves. Just a pity that he did not give any further information on this subject and just made a blunt statement.

I am sure that more and more people realize that the most effective basic waveforms for PEMF are natural sine waves and I recommend him to read HERE why. This explanation does clearly show that PEMF devices based on sine wave forms are by far superior than any other wave forms.

In Conclusion

The author strongly believes that a lot of work remains to be done in designing both technology and methodology of application of magnetotherapeutic devices. One of the very important issues that engineers and biophysicists neglect, is the frequency spectrum of the signal. At any pulsed electromagnetic field, a large spectrum of harmonics, up to 3 kHz exists with the first harmonic usually having the amplitude close to 20% of the amplitude of basic signal. In that aspect, the computerized system, offered and already in use, by Curatron is of great importance. She wrote me this email after she treated a patient who asked her how PEMFT works inside the body. Here follows what she told this patient and wrote to me.

Increases blood flow and thus, improving the oxygen carrying capacity of hemoglobin imparting greater oxygenation in tissues. 4% of hemoglobin is iron, beneficial low frequency magnetic field makes molecules spin into vortices.
Greater oxygenation in tissues in turn increases resistance to micro-organism invasion and as such organisms tolerate oxygen less than human cells.
Affects the calcium bicarbonate bonds and converts to calcium hydroxide and thus increases alkalinity in extra cellular fluids - capable of absorbing more oxygen than a low pH fluid.

Stimulate the pineal gland in the brain encouraging the production of melatonin. Melatonin prevents production of free radicals. Melatonin has been described as a central governing neural hormone, having anti-stress, anti-aging, anti-cancerous and anti-infectious effects.
It would not be surprising therefore to find that magnetic therapy has helped with psycho-neuro immunological problems viz. SAD, ME, depression, lethargy, epilepsy, schizophrenia etc. and can increase or decease hormone production of the endocrine glands.

My name is Ben Philipson and I was born in 1949 in The Netherlands. I studied biomedical electronic engineering inAmsterdam and I hold a masters degree in electronics.

I have worked for a medical device marketing and manufacturing company in Amsterdam for almost ten years. In my function as Technical Director for the Research & Development department I was responsible for all technology, including modifications and development of new features for the equipment of the company [cardiac monitors, nurse stations, defibrillators, physical therapy devices etc.].

During my “free time” [mostly late at night after the kids were put to bed] I developed a range of biofeedback, electroacupuncture and laser devices. BTW I was the first person in the world interfacing biofeedback equipment with a computer [remember the Apple II+ computer?] to show the biofeedback signal in a simple visual way to the user.

In 1983 I emigrated to Israel with my family and continued working in the medical field for various companies with responsibilities for sales and product management.
